Who it is for

SeveUp App for BIM coordinators

You keep the models of each package working together, delivery after delivery. Here is each task, what SeveUp App already does and what is still to come.

Quick answer

SeveUp App lets a BIM coordinator check each IFC delivery, compare revisions, explore federated models in 3D and track BCF issues, with no software to install.

25 of 31 tasks are available today, fully or in part.

Set up the project

  • Keep a versioned requirements library

Each IDS requirement set keeps all of its versions.

  • Define a naming convention

Describe the rule once, then assign it during a bulk import.

  • Set up a folder

A five-step assistant sets the coordinates, levels and expected data.

  • Plan deliveries

Set delivery dates by package and milestone, and see what is late.

    Planned

Receive models

  • Import IFC models

One by one or in bulk, following the processing of each revision.

  • Track revisions and their retention

Each new version is kept, for the time set on the project.

  • Bring models in from another tool

Connect Trimble Connect, Catenda or Kairnial.

  • Lighten an IFC model

A lighter version is computed after importing files over 50 MB, and kept if it is proven identical.

  • Check a delivery

An assistant guides the check of a delivered model.

  • Upload a Revit file

Upload an .rvt file like an IFC file, without installing Revit.

    Planned
  • Accept or reject a delivery

Decide based on the check, with a dated approval and a reason.

    Planned

Check quality

  • Check each model against requirements

Link an IDS set to a folder: every model in the folder is checked automatically.

  • Read the score and health report

A score, the share of passing checks and the detail by category.

  • Check names on import

Files are checked against the convention assigned during a bulk import.

  • Compare two revisions

See the objects added, changed or removed, and the requirements that improve.

  • Detect clashes between two models

Test two models from a federated view. The calculation must be enabled for your workspace.

  • Track clashes over time

Give each clash a status and a comment. Assigning it to a person is not there yet.

  • Fix data inside the IFC

Fix flagged properties, values and classifications, without touching the geometry.

Coordinate

  • Explore a model in 3D

Alone or federated: change viewpoint, section, isolate and measure.

  • Analyze in the viewer

Tree by level, property search, 2D plan and color rules.

  • Save views and share them

Keep a viewpoint with its thumbnail and send it by link.

  • Manage BCF issues

Statuses, due dates, assignments and viewpoints, with import and export.

  • Gather issues from other tools

Import BCF packages. Continuous sync is not available for every tool.

  • Ask the model in plain language

Ask a question from the viewer. The feature must be enabled for your account.

  • Fill in project forms

Forms are available in the library. A direct link to model objects is still to come.

  • Prepare the coordination meeting

Build the agenda from open issues and keep the minutes.

After coordination

  • Manage project documents

Store your documents with their revisions. Approval workflows are not there yet.

  • Link the model to the schedule

Connect objects to schedule tasks and see progress.

Try it on your own models

Upload an IFC model and read its health report.
